NutriScience AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, NutriScience AI (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

   Account Information: name, email address, and user ID from sign-in providers (Apple, Google, or email/password).

   Profile Information: age, gender, height, weight, goals, dietary preferences, and other wellness details you explicitly enter into the App.

   Food/Nutrition Data: food logs, meal history, nutrition inputs, barcode scans, and related dietary entries.

   Photos and Camera Inputs: images you choose to upload or capture for AI food analysis.

   Chat and AI Inputs: messages and prompts you submit in the chat or diagnostic features.

   Subscription/Purchase Data: subscription status, entitlement status, transaction metadata (processed securely via Apple App Store / RevenueCat).

   Technical Data: app diagnostics, crash logs, and basic device/app performance data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

   Provide and operate core App features (nutrition tracking, chat, meal planning, food analysis).

   Personalize your experience and nutritional recommendations.

   Authenticate users and secure accounts.

   Process and validate subscriptions.

   Improve app stability, quality, and safety (including crash/error monitoring).

   Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services & AI Processing

We use trusted third-party providers to run core app functionality. Importantly, we use third-party AI services to power our core nutrition and chat features. 

These services include:

   Google (Gemini): We use Google's Gemini API to provide personalized nutrition calculations, body diagnostic reports, and image-based meal analysis. 

       What data is sent: Only non-identifying data such as your dietary goals, physical profile (age, weight, height), chat prompts, and meal photos are sent to Google Gemini for analysis. 

       What is not sent: Your personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, and payment information) are never shared with Google Gemini. We will always ask for your explicit, optional permission during onboarding before transmitting any data to these AI services.

   Firebase: For authentication, backend database storage, and analytics/crash reporting.

   RevenueCat: For secure subscription management.

   Apple App Store:For purchase processing and Apple Sign-In flows.

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We confirm that any third-party service provider with whom we share your personal data provides the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy. 4. Subscription and Service Availability Notice

The App may offer paid subscriptions (e.g., weekly/monthly/yearly plans, including trial offers when configured).

   Important Notice:If NutriScience AI is discontinued, shut down, or permanently stops operating, subscription-based services and related premium features may no longer be available.

   Subscription billing is managed by the platform (e.g., Apple App Store).

   Users remain responsible for managing/canceling active subscriptions from their store account settings.

   Any refund eligibility is determined by the relevant app marketplace policies and applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide services, fulfill legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account/data where supported by law and platform rules.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

   Access your personal data

   Correct inaccurate data

   Delete your data/account

   Withdraw consent (where applicable, such as revoking AI data processing consent directly in the App's Profile settings)

8. Children’s Privacy

NutriScience AI is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without required consent.

9. International Users

If you use the App outside our primary operating region, your information may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
